This notice has been prepared by AlgoSense OÜ ("Algosense"), acting as data controller, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and the applicable ePrivacy rules and, to the extent applicable to data subjects located in Türkiye, Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), and applies to the website at www.algosense.ai (the "Site").
The purpose of this notice is to inform you about the data stored on your device through cookies and similar technologies used on the Site, to explain which technologies we use and for which purposes, and to show you how to manage them.
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files created on your device by a website, holding data in a name-value format. Technologies such as local storage (localStorage), session storage (sessionStorage) and browser databases (IndexedDB) also store data in your browser in a similar way. For clarity, all of these are referred to collectively as "cookies" in this notice.
Cookies are classified by ownership as first-party (set by the site you visit) and third-party (set by another domain); by duration as session (deleted when the browser closes) and persistent (remaining for a set period or until deleted); and by purpose as essential, functional, statistics and marketing cookies.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies Used on Our Site
By purpose, the cookie categories are:
- Essential cookies: Records required for the correct and secure operation of the Site and its technical infrastructure; without them the Site cannot perform its functions.
- Functional cookies: Non-essential records that personalize the Site for you by remembering choices such as your language preference.
- Statistics cookies: Records that enable measurement of Site usage; on our Site this measurement is performed only with anonymous counters.
- Marketing cookies: Records used to identify your interests and serve targeted content/advertising; no marketing cookies are used on our Site.
No third-party advertising, marketing, profiling or analytics cookies are used on our Site. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel and similar tracking tools are not present on our Site. All technologies used are first-party and are listed below, exhaustively and under their real technical names:

No data that could identify you (IP address, name, e-mail address, device identifier, etc.) is collected in statistics measurement; only daily total visit and unique visitor counts (with an hourly breakdown) and total page-view and link-click counts for certain pages are kept, in anonymous form. The last-visit date (lastVisitDate) kept on your device for the counter never leaves your browser.
3. Purposes of Processing and Legal Grounds
The data processing activities carried out through the technologies listed above are conducted on the following legal grounds:
- Essential and functional use (cookie preference record, language preference, opening-animation marker, administrator session, infrastructure SDK records): for the provision of the service you request and the performance of the Site's core functions, based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest of the data controller); for data subjects located in Türkiye, additionally Articles 5/2-c and 5/2-f KVKK. As these records are strictly necessary to provide the service you request, they do not require separate consent.
- Statistical use (anonymous visitor counting): for understanding and improving the use of the Site, based on your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; Article 5/1 KVKK).
Your explicit consent for statistics measurement is obtained through the cookie preferences banner displayed on your first visit to the Site: "Accept All" enables statistics measurement, while with "Essential Only" no statistics record is created and no counting takes place. Your preference is stored on your device for 6 months; at the end of this period the banner is displayed again and your preference is asked anew. Declining consent does not affect your use of the Site in any way. If a marketing, profiling or third-party analytics technology is introduced in the future, your explicit consent will be obtained separately for the relevant cookies and this notice will be updated.
4. Transfer of Data and Processing Abroad
The Site uses Google Firebase (Google LLC) services as its hosting and database infrastructure. In this context, the anonymous statistics counters and administrator session data referred to above are processed on this infrastructure provider with the necessary technical and administrative measures in place. This transfer outside the European Economic Area (to the USA) is based, under Chapter V GDPR, on Google's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses; for data subjects located in Türkiye, appropriate safeguards under Article 9 KVKK are observed.
The fonts used on the Site are served from the Site's own resources; no request is sent to any third-party service for fonts, analytics or advertising while pages are displayed. The connections your browser makes outside the Site are limited to the infrastructure service described above (Google Firebase).
The data stored on your device (cookie preference, language preference, visit date, animation marker) remains in your browser only; it is not transferred to third parties by Algosense and is not used for advertising or marketing. The sole exception is the identity-free infrastructure SDK version information (firebase-heartbeat-database), which is sent to the service provider (Google Firebase) with infrastructure requests.
5. Retention Periods
- Data on your device is stored in your browser for the periods stated in the table above (until the end of the session, for 6 months, or until you delete it).
- Your choice in the cookie preferences banner is valid for 6 months; at the end of this period the record is considered expired and your preference is asked again.
- Anonymous statistics records on our servers are kept for a reasonable period for statistical evaluation; these records contain no personal data.
- Administrator session records become invalid when the session is terminated.
6. Managing Cookies and Site Data
Permitting the use of cookies is not required to use the Site. You may withdraw your consent to statistics measurement at any time: when you delete our Site's data from your browser settings, the cookie preferences banner is displayed again on your next visit and you can choose "Essential Only"; once consent is withdrawn, no new statistics records are created.
You can view, delete or block our Site's data (including cookies, local storage and site databases) at any time from your browser settings. In that case your language and cookie preferences are forgotten and the opening animation plays again; the Site's core functions continue to work.

7. Your Rights and How to Apply
Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR, you have the right to: access your personal data and obtain a copy of it; have incomplete or inaccurate data rectified; request erasure ("right to be forgotten") or restriction of processing under certain conditions; receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (data portability); object to processing based on legitimate interest; not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing; and, where processing is based on consent, withdraw your consent at any time (withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee) or with the supervisory authority of the EU Member State of your habitual residence. Data subjects located in Türkiye additionally have the rights listed in Article 11 KVKK and may lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board.
You may submit requests regarding these rights to info@algosense.ai. In accordance with Article 12 GDPR, your request will be answered free of charge without undue delay and in any event within one (1) month; where necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of requests, this period may be extended by two (2) further months, in which case you will be informed. Requests under KVKK from data subjects located in Türkiye are concluded within thirty (30) days at the latest, in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller.

Algosense reserves the right to update this Cookie Notice in line with legislation and technological changes on the Site. The current version is published on the Site together with its publication date.
